With over 25 years’ experience, Enda founded Hawthorne Civil Group in 2013 and grew it from a two-person crew to more than 160 staff across Queensland and Northern NSW. Qualified in Civil Construction Supervision, Formwork / Falsework, and Dogging, he has led major R1 and B1 projects including bridges, culverts, and roadworks. Today, he focuses on strategic growth, client engagement, and ensuring safe, high-quality delivery.

With 16 years’ experience and qualifications including a Civil Engineering degree and MBA, Zdravko combines technical expertise with strategic insight. He has delivered major road, bridge, rail, and municipal projects with Tier 1 contractors, ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes. As General Manager at Hawthorne Civil Group, he oversees project performance, provides engineering leadership, and drives operational excellence while supporting the company’s continued growth.

With 16 years’ experience and a Civil Engineering degree, Ramon has delivered major road, bridge, and infrastructure projects, including senior roles with Brisbane City Council. At Hawthorne Civil Group, he oversees operations, plant and fleet management, resourcing, and HR, while driving compliance across safety, quality, and environmental standards through the company’s certified Integrated Management System.

With over 15 years’ experience and dual degrees in Civil Engineering (Hons) and Business Management, Daniel has delivered complex infrastructure projects across Queensland and Victoria. His expertise spans bridges, rail, tunnels, pavements, and structural concrete works. At Hawthorne Infrastructure, he supports all phases of delivery—from tendering and pre-contracts to on-site execution—ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and high-quality outcomes.

A Chartered Accountant with 28 years’ senior finance experience, Andrew has worked across professional services, resources, manufacturing, and construction. He has held roles including CFO and Divisional Controller, with responsibility for governance, risk, and assurance. At Hawthorne Civil Group, he leads finance, overseeing cost control, payroll, and reporting to support strong business performance and project delivery.

With over 25 years in talent acquisition, Cameron specialises in workforce strategy for Australia’s infrastructure and civil construction sectors. He has held senior recruitment roles with John Holland, Laing O’Rourke, OHL Construction, and Aurex Group. At Hawthorne Civil Group, he leads resourcing with a people-first approach, leveraging his industry network to ensure the right people are placed in the right roles for safe, successful delivery.

With over a decade of marketing experience in the commercial and civil construction sectors, Veronica delivers targeted strategies across branding, communications, and PR. Skilled in stakeholder engagement and community initiatives, she strengthens Hawthorne Civil’s market presence while supporting business development and coordinating tender submissions to drive growth and client engagement.

With over 20 years of experience in the planning, estimation, and delivery of road and civil engineering projects, our Project Controls Manager, Katie, brings deep expertise in cost control, scheduling, and project management. Katie has worked across complex infrastructure programs with a strong focus on traffic staging, construction sequencing, and scope definition. Backed by a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons), a Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering, and a Diploma of Project Management, she combines technical knowledge with a structured, data-driven approach to project planning and delivery.

With over 15 years of civil construction experience, Marty brings a practical, leadership-focused approach shaped by his work on some of Queensland’s major infrastructure projects—including the Kingsford Smith Drive Upgrade, Wynnum Road Corridor Upgrade, the Carmichael Rail Network, and extensive flood recovery programs. Having progressed from plant operator to senior supervisory roles, he has built deep capability across roads, rail, drainage, mine infrastructure, and large-scale earthworks. In his role as Civil Superintendent at Hawthorne Civil, Marty draws on this diverse background to manage on-site operations, coordinate resources, and support efficient, high-quality project delivery.

With over 25 years’ experience in civil, rail, road, and oil and gas infrastructure, Simon brings extensive operational leadership to his role as Superintendent at Hawthorne Civil. Simon has successfully led large, multidisciplinary crews of up to 150 personnel across major projects nationwide, working for both principal contractors and subcontractors. At Hawthorne Civil, he oversees the delivery of site operations—coordinating programs with supervisors, conducting pre-starts, managing safety inspections, and ensuring plant and logistics are aligned for smooth project execution. Known for his deep technical knowledge and strong commitment to value, Simon plays a key role in maintaining quality, safety, and performance across every project phase.
